Tea time in London is a Haute Travels girls dream. I had the pleasure of enjoying tea service with Champagne at the Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square on my last trip to the UK. It was absolutely amazing and delicious.
Afternoon tea is a ritual that began in the 1840's in Great Britain; its designed to stem hunger before dinner. Tea service is a mini meal with sandwiches cut into little "fingers" and pastries with scones.
I was served a variety of teas like green, oolong and black from all over the globe from South Africa to China and Croatia. I dined on finger sandwiches, handmade scones with jam and cream along with French pastries during the afternoon tea hour in the gorgeous rotunda lounge. It was one of the best experiences that I've had when visiting London.
The Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square does an amazing job with presentation from beginning to end. The dessert display is incredible. They even bring out champagne so that you can toast to the occasion. They also add a little history lesson, when you flip the beautiful china plate over, it shows a route to transport tea from Asia to the UK.
Visiting London and having tea time at the Four Seasons Hotel is what travel dreams are made of for the globetrotter who loves to indulge.
