If you're thinking about traveling to Paris, you'll need a "Green Pass" for entry. You will also need it to enter public venues and restaurants. France has some strict rules when it comes to traveling during the Covid-19 pandemic.
If you are a fully vaccinated American, you'll just need to show your CDC vaccination record with an EMA approved vaccine such as Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson to travel. However, you must be fully vaccinated no less than two weeks before you travel.
You can also get your CDC vaccination card converted into a heath pass or QR code and store it on your phone in Paris. You can go to a French pharmacy for assistance. But be aware that it's very difficult if you can't find the right pharmacy willing to assist.
You will also need to show a valid passport and return ticket home, plus a sworn declaration of travel that you can lean more about on the French Interior Ministry website. It basically asks if you have any Covid symptoms.
Non-vaccinated travelers can show proof that they have recovered from Covid-19 or produce a negative Covid-19 test, but that's a short-term fix and lasts 72 hours.
